The cheapest, quickest and easiest way to get around Bali would be by a scooter, that is if you’re a very confident rider.
Otherwise, locals thrive off transporting tourists all around the island therefore you’ll have no problem finding a ride whether you’re planning the next day-trip or you’re just casually walking down the street in mission to find your next coffee shop. You sure will be asked every 5 minutes if you’d like a Taxi.

Online services like GoJek, Grab and Bluebird are excluded from areas such as Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Ubud to enforce the use of local taxis and drivers. Travelling from these areas, the recommended option is to hire a local driver. Drivers can be hired for one-way trips or even for 5- or 10-hour trips. Using the GoJek App gives you good estimates of how much your trip should cost.
For more convenience and a peace of mind, we’d say once you find a driver that gets your vibe, you could exchange Whatsapp numbers and privately organise further trips with them.
